GREENSBORO, Ga. a2b Fulfillment announced it has appointed Dean Perigard to the position of director of operations. “The addition of such a highly experienced and successful individual to our already exceptional team prepares us for the future, and will help take a2b to new levels,” says Ayal Latz, a2b president.

Perigard comes to a2b after 14 years with catalog company Orchard Brands, where he served as general manager of its Eatonton, Ga., distribution center. He is experienced in the management of multisite operations with more than 100,000 SKUs and is proficient in enterprise-class systems, equipment, and automation.

“I look forward to contributing to the a2b team,” Perigard says. “It is a dynamic, customer-focused organization that takes immense pride in the quality of its work. a2b is already one of the most technologically innovative fulfillment operations I have seen.

My experience will further build on these innovations and prepare us for the future.”

Separately, a2b held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on the new a2b Fulfillment Art Studio at the Pete Nance Boys & Girls Club of Greensboro, Ga. Kara Latz, a2b’s HR director and an artist herself, helped design the space, which is equipped with easels, sinks, and adjustable workstations. The studio also features computers and software to help expose students to careers in advertising, fashion design, photography, and animation.

“Through the arts, students can practice self-expression, thus fostering an appreciation for the various forms of art and the artistic process,” says Dr. Mardel Kolls, president of the club’s Advisory Board. “a2b Fulfillment has made this possible for our kids.”
